CHER Eco-City: Building a Healthy Ecosystem

The industrial revolution has had a great negative impact on the ecosystem having increased the concentration of the greenhouse gas, CO2 (carbon dioxide) by 42%. This increase has resulted in the earth being heated up above measure which has led to the unnatural melting of polar ice, causing a rise in sea levels. During the COP21 held in 2015, it was concluded that everyone will play a role in reducing the earth’s temperature rise to 2 degrees Celsius by the ending of the 21st century, since the earth will not be able to withstand an increase in temperature higher than 2 degrees Celsius. Otherwise, most animal species will go extinct, while natural and health disasters will multiply.
